From the Archive: Badflower Tease "30"
Getting press releases for your favorite band was always the best part.
Members of alternative modern rockband Badflower are celebrating their upcoming birthdays with a gift to their fans - a brand new single, aptly titled "30."
Released on lead singer Josh Katz's birthday, the song will be released on streaming platforms this Friday, July 17. The song will also be played live at Badflower's benefit livestream show on July 18, titled S.H.I.T. (So Happy I’m Thirty) Fest.
Badflower will perform alongside guests Dead Sara, Bones UK and Dead Poet Society.
S.H.I.T. (So Happy I’m Thirty) Fest was announced last week on their Twitter page, where the band’s also teased the new song’s release for two weeks with the repeated phrase "I'm nervous, I'm so so nervous."
Tickets to the livestreamed festival are $9, with the opportunity to purchase a $30 t-shirt bundle. Proceeds of S.H.I.T. (So Happy I’m Thirty) Fest will be split between Freedom for Immigrants and 320 Changes Direction.
Freedom for Immigrants focuses on ending immigration detention camps while 320 Changes Direction aims to end the stigma surrounding mental health issues, something that Badflower touched on a lot in their debut album OK, I’M SICK, released on Big Machine/John Varvatos Records in 2019.
